Uninstalling CRO Toolbox
How to uninstall the app, what happens to your store, your plan and your data, and how to come back.
You can uninstall CRO Toolbox at any time. Nothing locks you in.
How to uninstall
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps (called Apps and sales channels in some admins).
- Find CRO Toolbox and open it, or use the three dots next to it.
- Choose Uninstall and confirm.
What happens to your store
- The offers, bundles, bars, reviews, cart drawer and other app features stop showing, because the app is no longer there to run them.
- The checkout discounts, bundle splitting and checkout rules (payment, delivery and order limits) from the app stop working.
- Your theme keeps empty leftovers: app blocks and embeds you added. They show nothing. To tidy up, open Online Store → Themes → Customize and remove the CRO Toolbox blocks and embeds.
- Products and pages the app created for you, such as a mix and match bundle product or a bundle page, stay in your store as normal products and pages. Archive or delete them if you no longer want them.
- Orders already placed are not changed.
Your plan and billing
Uninstalling stops the app’s billing. Shopify ends the subscription when the app is removed, so you are not charged for the next period. Your Shopify invoice shows any charges up to the day you uninstalled. See plans and billing.
Your data
48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks us to delete your store’s data and we do: its sessions, back in stock requests and return requests. Data the app saved inside your store is removed by Shopify together with the app. Details are in the privacy policy.
Coming back
Install the app again from the Shopify App Store. Because the store’s data is deleted after uninstalling, you start from a clean setup: follow getting started and turn on the app embeds again.
